Day 1: 8:00 a.m. Pick-up at your hotel or the airport and transfer by car or bus, depending on the number of people, by road to Nauta, which takes 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Then, in Nauta, on the Marañón River, we will board our motorboat to cruise upstream on the Marañón River for 3.5 hours to the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. Lunch and check-in to your room at the base camp in the Buenos Aires community. Afterwards, we will cruise and hike to a place where you can see a plethora of birds, giant trees, and pink and grey dolphins, and watch the sunset.
After dinner, a one-hour night tour to see different types of insects and night monkeys and to hear the different sounds and calls of nocturnal animals, with the guide telling you which species each sound belongs to.
Day 2: The next day, at 5:00 a.m., a sunrise sightseeing tour to see birds and look for sloths and dolphins. After breakfast, we'll continue sailing into the jungle, observing different types of birds, monkeys, and turtles for 2 hours. There, we will set up the tents that we provide for camping. We'll explore different places on foot and by canoe, both during the day and at night, to see the animals, go sport fishing, and more.
Day 3: Sunrise sightseeing tour to see and hear different sounds of birds and other animals, return to the base camp, lunch, learn about the life of the small community, and return to the city by the same means, arriving in Iquitos at 6:00 p.m. According to your flight itinerary, if you are flying to Lima the same day, we can drop you off at the airport or hotel. End of the tour after having enjoyed a pleasant experience.
