After picking you up at your hotel in Piura at 9:00 am, we will head southwest to reach the city of Sechura in a journey of an hour and a half by minibus.

We will visit the city and contemplate its most famous places, among them the Plaza de Armas or the main church San Martin de Tours. We will talk about its origins and its characteristic late baroque style.

We will continue our excursion to the mangroves of San Pedro de Vice where we will appreciate the landscape and we will be able to observe migratory birds coming from far away places like Canada. We will get to know this estuary of the province of Sechura, we will teach you to identify the different animal species that we will see.

Afterwards, we will visit the beach of Chulliyachi, where you will have an hour of free time for lunch, also you will contemplate the charms of this bay of golden sand. In this place you will observe the ruins of a ghost town, its old adobe houses that by the action of the sea caused the total abandonment of this small fishing village.

Finally, we will go to the most famous area of the desert of Sechura, Medano Blanco, here we will give you a sandboard to enjoy sliding down the dunes of this natural place.

We will conclude the excursion at 17:30.
