Once in Ponza, set off on a 5-hour boat tour around Ponza’s spectacular coastline. Cruise past dramatic cliffs, sea caves, and hidden coves as your tour leader shares insights about the island’s history and geology. Along the way, enjoy several stops to swim and snorkel in crystal-clear Mediterranean waters. Bring your own snorkel gear or rent it in advance by selecting the option when booking.

Activity itinerary

Ponza Island

Grotte di Pilato (Pass by)

The Grotte di Pilato are an impressive complex of ancient Roman caves carved directly into Ponza’s cliffs. Once used as fish ponds by the Romans, they remain one of the island’s most fascinating archaeological sites.

Faro della Guardia (Pass by)

Faro della Guardia stands dramatically on Ponza’s southernmost cliffs, overlooking the open Tyrrhenian Sea. This historic lighthouse marks one of the island’s most scenic and rugged viewpoints.

Chiaia Di Luna

  • 30m
Chiaia di Luna is Ponza’s most iconic beach, a stunning crescent of pale sand backed by towering white cliffs that rise dramatically above the turquoise sea. Often, we will have a swim stop here.

Punta Di Capo Bianco

  • 30m
Capo Bianco is known for its striking white cliffs and crystal-clear water. Weather permitting, you may even have the chance to swim through a small sea cave carved into the rock.

Cala Feola (Pass by)

Located beneath the hilltop village of Le Forna, Cala Feola is a picturesque cove that also functions as a small harbour for local fishing boats. Its calm, crystal-clear waters and nearby natural rock pools make it one of Ponza’s favourite swimming spots.

Piscine Naturali (Pass by)

Piscine Naturali are a series of natural rock pools formed along Ponza’s coastline, where calm, crystal-clear water creates the perfect spot for swimming and relaxing.

Cala dell'Acqua (Pass by)

Cala dell’Acqua takes its name from a natural freshwater spring that once supplied the island. The source was already used in Roman times, when Ponza served as an important maritime stop in the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Cala Fonte (Pass by)

Cala Fonte is a scenic fishing cove famous for its natural rock pools and traditional boat shelters carved into the cliffs.

Forte Papa (Pass by)

Overlooking the sea, Forte Papa is a historic defensive fort that once guarded Ponza’s coastline. Nearby, the wreck of a US World War II landing craft lies beneath the crystal-clear water, adding a fascinating layer of modern history.

Cala Cecata (Pass by)

Cala Cecata is a rugged coastal inlet known for the remains of Ponza’s historic bentonite mine, where mineral extraction once played an important role in the island’s economy.

Cala Felci

  • 30m
Cala Felci is known for its striking yellow-streaked cliffs, where sulphur deposits colour the rock and reveal traces of Ponza’s volcanic origins.

Punta Incenso (Pass by)

Punta Incenso marks the northernmost point of Ponza, where rugged cliffs plunge into deep blue waters. This wild and unspoiled stretch of coastline offers some of the island’s most dramatic views and crystal-clear swimming spots.

Cala Gaetano (Pass by)

Arco Naturale

  • 30m
Arco Naturale is a spectacular rock arch sculpted by the sea over thousands of years. Rising from the cliffs, it stands as one of Ponza’s most photographed natural wonders.

Spiaggia Di Frontone (Pass by)
