A Haven of Calm: Your experience begins at the modern Douro Marina, away from the tourist hustle and bustle of Ribeira. When you board our sailboat, you will be greeted by the crew with a smile and a welcome drink (Port wine or sparkling wine). Feel the Atlantic breeze as we gently cast off towards the heart of the city. Between the Past and the Present, as we glide through the calm waters of the Douro River, we will pass by postcard-worthy scenery. You will see the picturesque fishing village with its colourful houses and living traditions. We will pass under the Arrabida Bridge, this imposing concrete structure, a landmark of modern engineering with a unique view from the river. World Heritage: You will see the slopes of Ribeira and the cellars of Gaia light up, creating a golden reflection on the water that is only visible from this angle. The High Point: “Golden Hour”
As the sun begins to set on the horizon, the sailboat heads towards Foz do Douro. It's the most romantic moment. The Sunset: You will see the sun dip into the Atlantic Ocean, painting the sky in shades of pink, orange, and violet. Toast for Two While the show is taking place, we will serve a board of local products (selected cheeses and Portuguese sausages), accompanied by table wine from the Douro region or sparkling wine.
On the Return: The Magic of the Night On the way back to the marina, the city is transformed. The bridges take on a new life with the evening lights. The silence of the sailboat, interrupted only by the sound of the water and soft background music, creates the perfect setting for intimate conversations and memories that will last a lifetime.
