We are located at the entry to the Valpolicella Classica area, coming from Verona, on the central and panoramic hill, in the medieval village of Castelrotto. Our property is adjacent to the Castrum Rotari (7th century), a historic military fortress considered the “KM Zero” of the Valpolicella Classica area.

Casa dei Fraccaroli (1790) – a family heirloom for centuries, one of the oldest houses in the village, located in the romantic square of Castelrotto – today includes the Borghetti Giampiero Farm, a family boutique winery, and the Castrum Wine Relais – Albergo Diffuso.

The food tasting experience begins in the boutique wine cellar, with a presentation of the family's history and that of the territory, followed by a tasting guided by our sommeliers of five Valpolicella wines produced by us, accompanied by local food products. An upgrade with gourmet platters is also available.

The wines in the food tasting are the 3 famous Valpolicella passito wines: Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG, Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva DOCG and Recioto della Valpolicella Classico DOCH accompanied by a Gourmet Cheese Platter with Homemade Balsamic Dressing with Amarone and Mostarda.

The food tasting experience takes place in the boutique winery or on the panoramic terrace/pergola.

We also offer alternatives to wine, with themed mocktails created by our bartenders, dedicated to adults but also to children and teens.
The whole family – adults, children and teenagers – can take part in the experience.
