What you can expect

You will be picked up from the hotel at 08:00 hours and start driving to Voss. You will then take the train heading to Oslo and disembark in Myrdal where you will take the Flåmsbane.

The journey from Voss to Flåm is a scenic route that takes you through the picturesque landscapes of western Norway. The most popular way to travel between these two towns is by taking the Flåm railway, which is a branch of the Bergen railway. The train ride is around 2 hours and 30 minutes long, and the views along the way are stunning, with snow-capped mountains, lush green valleys, and crystal-clear rivers and lakes. The Flåm railway is considered one of the most scenic train rides in the world and is famous for its steep gradients, sharp curves, and breathtaking views. The journey takes you through the picturesque landscapes of western Norway, through the Bergen line and the Flåm railway, which is a branch of the Bergen railway, and offers a panoramic view of the Aurlandsfjord and the Nærøyfjord.
Flåm:
Flåm is a small village located in the Aurland municipality in the county of Sogn and Fjordane, Norway. It is situated at the end of the Aurlandsfjord, a tributary of the Sognefjord, which is the longest and deepest fjord in Norway.
The village is surrounded by mountains, waterfalls, and glaciers, offering a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and fishing.

Flåm is also known for its traditional wooden houses, which are painted in bright colours, and its lively harbour, where visitors can take a boat trip to explore the fjord and its surrounding islands. The village also has a variety of shops, cafes, and restaurants, where visitors can sample local seafood and traditional Norwegian dishes.

Flåm is also a great starting point for exploring the Sognefjord and its surrounding areas, including the Nærøyfjord, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Jotunheimen National Park, which is home to some of Norway's highest mountains.

You will have lunch and visit the Flåm railway museum then take the cruise boat. Cruise departure time will be between 15:00 and 16:00 hours. Detailed time table will be sent by email.

The Cruise departs from the village's port and takes you on a journey through the fjords, passing by picturesque villages, waterfalls, and glaciers. You will also see the famous Kjelfossen waterfall, which is one of the tallest in Europe.
The best time to take a cruise is during the summer months when the weather is milder and the days are longer.

At the end of the cruise your guide will meet you and start driving back to Bergen.
This tour take approximately 12 hours depending on traffic on the way back. Be prepared to come back to the hotel around 20.00- 21:00 hrs
