Overview

  • Pleasant tour in medieval history to discover unique monuments.
The entrance to the Duomo will be unforgettable to admire all its magnificence and harmony.
The history and ancient traditions of the kitchen will become very familiar to you, so much so that you can reproduce the recipes even at home.
Sienese cuisine is patriarchal, it comes from the countryside. In many respects it is similar to the Tuscan one, but if we think of vegetable soups: in Siena they prepared them with a few more aromatic herbs, such as calamint, thyme, ginger, which give a symphony of smells and flavours.
Here the dishes are called godende. The Sienese love everything that belongs to the table and its pleasures.
All the toponymy here speaks of food, just think of the names of alleys such as Malcucinato or Salecotto.

Not to mention the wine: in the province of Siena there are 5 D.O.C.G. and 14 D.O.C.
3-course lunch in a selected trattoria or tavern to savour the historic dishes of Siena. Included in the tour price.
