Snowshoe Description: Enjoy a guided 5.0km (2.5-3.0hrs) snowshoe a top the Niagara Escarpment that will take you through a peaceful mature, mainly deciduous forest on route into and out of the majestic Singhampton Caves. The caves are less visited in the winter, are easier to navigate with the snow levelling out the ground and the contrast in colours between, the snow, caves and sparkling ice-covered walls is spectacular. The caves are open to the sky for those uneasy with tight spaces. After exploring the caves we will stop to enjoy a hot chocolate before heading back to the starting location. What to bring: Water and snacks, appropriate boots and clothing, based on the weather forecast. Nottawasaga Bluffs Caves tour vs. the Singhampton Caves tour: If you are considering which caves tour to book; the Singhampton caves are all open, have taller walls making them more grandeur. The Nottawasaga Bluffs main caves are less numerous, but side caves offer more closed/underground discovery options and a larger lookout point.
