Castello Di Baia is located in a strategic position, as it was erected on a promontory 51 m above sea level, dominating the entire Gulf of Pozzuoli up to Procida, Ischia and Procida.
It was mainly used for gladiator fights and could accommodate up to 40,000 spectators. The Flavian Amphitheater of Pozzuoli stood in the area of ancient Puteoli.
Phlegraean Fields
Isolated between the current road that crosses Baia and the structures of its port, this building with a diameter of over 25 meters was supposed to be the most important hall of a larger complex.
The temple of Diana (III century AD), the largest of the Baian domes, takes its name from the marble friezes depicting scenes with wild animals that the first scholars of the eighteenth century traced back to the cult
