What you can expect

  • Escape the bustle of Milan and enjoy a relaxing day discovering the Swiss elegance of Lugano, a picturesque lakeside town nestled in the heart of Ticino, Switzerland’s Italian-speaking region.

Begin with a comfortable train ride from Milan through scenic countryside and across the Swiss border. Upon arrival in Lugano, meet your guide directly at the railway station.

Stroll along Lugano lake, surrounded by mountains and lined with palm trees — a perfect blend of Mediterranean flair and alpine beauty. Explore the charming old town with its elegant boutiques and cafés, and don’t miss a visit to Piazza della Riforma, the lively heart of the city. Visit the Parco Ciani, one of Switzerland’s most beautiful city parks.

In the afternoon, have free time and choose to take a boat ride on Lake Lugano or ride the funicular up Monte Brè for panoramic views over the lake and surrounding Alps. Before returning to Milan, savour one last glimpse of the peaceful Swiss landscape — a perfect contrast to Italy’s urban energy.

Return to Milan in the evening, filled with memories of a day rich in natural beauty, culture, and relaxation.
