Overview

This full-day tour starts at 8:00 am with a pickup from your hotel in Cairo . The first stop is the Sakkara Pyramid, located about 27 km southwest of Cairo. Here, you will visit the Step Pyramid, built for King Zoser, which is an important part of the pyramid evolution process. The Step Pyramid is believed to have been the transition between the simple mastaba and the widely recognised pyramid form.

After that, the tour proceeds to the Dahshur Pyramids, which are approximately 40 kilometres (25 miles) south of Cairo and located in a royal necropolis in the desert on the West Bank of the Nile. The Dahshur Pyramids are known for their historical significance, with two of the oldest, largest, and best-preserved pyramids in Egypt built between 2613-2589 BCE. The Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid are the most popular pyramids in this area and are must-visit destinations for tourists.

Dahshur is a royal necropolis located in the desert on the West Bank of the Nile, approximately 40 kilometres (25 miles) south of Cairo in Egypt. It is home to several pyramids, two of which are among the oldest, largest, and best preserved in Egypt. These two pyramids are known as the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid, and they were built between 2613 and 2589 BCE. The Bent Pyramid gets its name from its unusual shape, as the angle of its sides changes partway up the structure. The Red Pyramid, on the other hand, is so named because of the reddish hue of its limestone blocks. Both pyramids are open to visitors and are popular tourist attractions.
