Overview

  • Two journalists who became guides! Private tours that combine history, knowledge, and a personalised experience to discover Portugal.

We start with Fátima, one of the most important Catholic shrines in the world (you can also choose the Alcobaça Monastery, one of the great works of Portuguese heritage). We proceed to the Battle, where we visit the Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitória, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In Nazaré, famous for its giant waves, we enjoyed the impressive view of the Villa and the sea from the Sítio da Nazaré. We finished in Óbidos, a medieval Villa with a castle, old churches, charming streets, and the famous ginjinha.

Pedro is Portuguese, graduated in social communication, businessman, and lived in England for 10 years. Caio is Brazilian, lives in Lisbon since 2013, and is a journalist with over a decade of experience in television. We have been doing tours since 2019 and free photos of your trip.

Come discover Portugal with us. It will be a pleasure to accompany you.

Activity itinerary

Fatima

  • 1h
Our first destination is the Shrine of Fatima, in the same name and 130 km away from Lisbon is a place of devotion and pilgrimage preserving the memory of the appearance of Our Lady to the three little shepherds in 1917. The Neobarroca basilica, surrounded by statues of saints, has a 65m tall tower and an esplanade twice the size of St. Peter's in Rome. Next, the destination is the preserved home of the shepherds.

Batalha

  • 1h
The next destination is the Battle Monastery, in the city of the same name. Built in 1386, the building is impressive. It has a beautiful church which is free and you can visit the Monastery with paid admission directly on site.

Nazare

  • 1h
Following, we will meet Praia da Nazaré, a fishing Villa that grew and kept its traditions, becoming even more famous with the giant waves of Praia do Norte. Here we will pass through the centre of the Villa and also through the Sitio in Nazaré, at the top of the mountain, where we will have spectacular views of the city and the open sea, in addition to the lighthouse where the giant waves can burst with the most force between October and February.

Obidos

  • 1h
We end our tour by visiting the Villa de Óbidos, which is inside a medieval castle. Just over 80 km from the centre of Lisbon, the beautiful and different Villa has plenty of reasons to visit. Currently it is inhabited by fewer than 100 people, but it is full of charming shops, cafes, typical food restaurants and even a spectacular bookshop inside an ancient church, which preserves the medieval aspect of its 12th-century construction.
