What you can expect

Embark on a half-day tour of Casablanca with a private driver to give context and help you discover local secrets. See impressive architecture, wander through vibrant markets, and tour the splendid Hassan II Mosque on this beautiful coastal drive.

Begin with a visit to the central market, a massive kaleidoscope of colours and gathering place for equally colourful characters. Peruse hundreds of stalls brimming with locally grown flowers, spices, vegetables, meats, and all kinds of seafood, in addition to local handicrafts.

Continue to the New Medina of Casablanca, also known as the Habous Quarter, and admire its attractive Arab-Islamic architecture. Drive through the luxurious residential quarter of Anfa (Casablanca's “Hollywood”) and see where Churchill and Roosevelt met in 1943 to plan the Allied landings in Normandy and Sicily. Soft drinks are served at the Café California on the Corniche, a famous stretch of beaches, cafés, hotels, and nightlife.

The highlight of the day is a guided tour inside the Hassan II Mosque, the largest religious monument after Mecca, featuring a 650 foot (about 200 metres) tall minaret and a laser beam visible 22 miles (35 km) away. The interior serves as an example of Morocco's finest craftsmanship.

Spend some free time at Mohamed V's Square before returning to your hotel.
