Balandra Beach has been called the most beautiful beach in Mexico — and arriving by private boat, anchoring in the turquoise shallows, and swimming to shore makes that claim feel accurate.
The Hook takes your group directly from the La Paz Malecón by private boat to Balandra Bay, 23 kilometres north — no highway, no car park, no crowd at the entrance. You'll see El Hongo, the iconic mushroom rock balanced in the shallows, from the water. Snorkel the protected cove, explore the mangrove channels, and stay as long as you want.
Also included: a stop at San Rafaelito sea lion colony (September through May), where sea lions approach snorkellers within arm's reach. June through August an alternative snorkel location is substituted during the seasonal CONANP closure.
