What you can expect

ENJOY A MOST UNIQUE DAY OF ADVENTURE AT TANKAH (The Mayan word for “The centre of town”), one that Mayaland offers you together with a visit to Tulum, the only Mayan Walled Port in the Caribbean.

Upon arrival at Tulum, private guided tour of the historic Mayan town of Tulum, head directly to the world-famous archaeological site for a 1.5 hours visit and have the opportunity to explore it on your own! Our certified guide will introduce you to the history and mysteries of the great Mayan civilisation that once developed their culture and tribute to the world's historical legacy.

Your own private guide will explain the significance of the historical site of Tulum - the Mayan word for wall. The site has impressive cliffs overlooking the turquoise Caribbean Sea. Discover one of the most beautiful archaeological sites in the world, and the only site right on the coastline, once a port and shelter to the Mayas living on the Caribbean coast in the post classical period.

After visiting Tulum, our adventure continues in Tankah Eco-Adventure Park, nestled in virgin jungle. It encompasses four distinct CENOTES, the “Breathing Holes” OF THE WORLD'S LARGEST UNDERGROUND RIVER SYSTEM that is found beneath the surface of the Yucatan Peninsula.

Our visit begins with an offering of fresh fruits of the season. On to the first “Cenote Cueva”, accessible through a natural jungle trail, you may enjoy our diving platform and venture to ride on a Zip Line from which you may jump into the refreshing waters. “Cenote Piraña”, which is semi covered, allows sunlight to bathe its waters. You will be in awe and admiration as you swim and discover rock formations of stalactites.

The third Cenote is so large that you can navigate it by canoe and zip-line over its waters. Our visit to the last Cenote will delight and relax you.

Enjoy a banquet of local delicacies, including well-known Mexican delights such as handmade tortillas, guacamole and chicken “Pibil”, a traditional Yucatecan delicacy.

Your visit is complete when immerse yourself in the Mayan Village of Tankah, where you will interact with the local Maya people that call Tankah their home.
