Meet your local chef in the heart of Progreso and begin a relaxed walking tour through the town’s most authentic food spots. As you explore local streets and areas, stop at small, family-run eateries and street food stands that locals visit every day.

At each stop, taste traditional Yucatecan dishes, freshly prepared and explained by your guide. Learn how local ingredients like achiote, sour orange, corn, and habanero are used, and hear stories about the history and culture behind each recipe.

Along the way, your guide will show you how to eat certain dishes the local way, share cooking tips you can take home, and point out cultural details you might otherwise miss. Enjoy a mix of savoury foods, fresh seafood, and a sweet local dessert, with refreshing traditional drinks included.

The experience moves at an easy pace, with time to ask questions, take photos, and connect with local vendors. Finish the tour feeling full, informed, and confident exploring Progreso like a local.
