What you can expect

This introduction is ideal for snorkellers who want to expand their skills and learn new techniques to experience the underwater world more intensively. The Discovery programme does not lead to certification. However, if you would like to learn more and become a certified freediver, please take a look at our course section. During the Discovery programme, your instructor will teach you the basics of proper breathing and important safety techniques for freediving.

COURSE CONTENT:

  • 1 session on breathing technique and relaxation
  • 1 theory session
  • 1 water training session

YOU WILL LEARN:

  • How to relax and breathe correctly before the dive
  • Pressure equalisation techniques
  • Freediving and diving with constant weight on a line up to 10 metres
  • How to hold your breath underwater for longer

PREREQUISITES:

  • Minimum age: 18 years (or 12 years with parental consent)
  • Ability to swim
  • Medical certificate (max. 1 year old) confirming that there are no health concerns for freediving
