These excursions last 3 hours. This excursion's difficulty level is minimal. The only requirement is that you have the necessary mobility to climb into the 4x4 vehicle, which is a little higher than a conventional vehicle. Then, if you need to, you can stay inside the vehicle during the excursion, or else get off at the panoramic points to explore the place, take photos, and enjoy the scenery.
The goal of this tour is to give tourists a completely different, very personalised experience, so they can get to know some of the beaches and areas of Puerto Madryn that only locals know about, but that tourists don't usually have access to.
We'll pick up the passengers from their accommodation. Then we'll start touring the city's waterfront, visiting the beach resorts and explaining the city's tourist seasons to passengers, as well as how the beach resorts work with all the activity options they offer.
Next, we'll head to the Punta Cuevas or Curva del Indio area, where we'll briefly explain the arrival of the Welsh settlers in the area.
Continuing with the excursion, we'll take the Inter-Balnearia route that leads us to the Punta Loma Reserve, making 3 key stops so that passengers can enjoy a unique view, take photographs, and appreciate the variety of landscapes. The first stop will be around the dunes, so you can appreciate the area.
Next, we'll visit the Punta Este area, making two strategic stops so you can enjoy one of the most beautiful landscapes on the tour. You'll get to see hidden beaches, crystal-clear waters, and a large part of the intertidal zone, where we'll explain the main characteristics of these intertidal ecosystems.
Continuing with the tour, we'll stop next to the Paraná beach beacon to enjoy the view of the sunken ship Folias and the Paraná beach area, making a stop so that tourists can explore the area.
Then we'll head into the Punta Loma Reserve, where you can hike the Flora Trail and then watch the sea lions.
Finally, we'll head to the Cerro Avanzado area, where we'll approach the middle of the hill to observe the sedimentation layers and listen to a talk about the specific geology of the area.
To end the excursion, we'll head to Cerro Avanzado beach, where we'll offer passengers an infusion in our reusable plastic cups, with a message about the theme that says “one less cup in the oceans,” along with a snack to eat.
