What you can expect

Discover the wonder of pre-Inca culture with a trip to the archaeological site of the Quechua people in Sillustani. After hotel pickup in Puno, head to Sillustani on a short 50-minute drive. Stop at unforgettable ruins on the shores of Lake Umayo, an ideal place to take photos.

Learn all about pre-Inca life with your guide at the Sillustani archaeological site, where the ruins of the Aymara cemetery offer clues about their culture. Discover how they were incorporated into the Inca Empire in the 15th century and how their tombs differ architecturally from the Incas.

See and hear all about the chullpas (needles), the towers and walls of the nobility, the painted animal symbols that accompany them, and the tall ruins. Some reach up to 12 metres high. Also learn about an innovative agricultural technique called Waru Waru, developed during the Tiwanaku Empire.

Make a stop in Atuncolla before returning to Puno, a small and picturesque town where the Colla people live. At the end of the tour, you can request a Virtual Reality Tour of Chucuito, Chullpas de Molloco, or AramuMuru.
