Cusipata

After early hotel pickup in Cusco, we travel through scenic Andean valleys to the village of Cusipata. Here travellers enjoy a delicious breakfast and a short rest before continuing the journey towards the trailhead of Rainbow Mountain.

Pitumarca (Pass by)

We continue driving through the district of Pitumarca towards the starting point of the hike. Along the way travellers enjoy beautiful views of the Vilcanota mountain range and traditional Andean landscapes before beginning the trek.

Vinicunca Mountain

From the trailhead we begin a moderate hike of approximately one hour to reach Vinicunca, also known as Rainbow Mountain or Montaña de Siete Colores. At the viewpoint travellers can admire the spectacular natural colours created by mineral deposits and enjoy breathtaking views of the Andes and the surrounding Vilcanota mountain range.

Cusipata

After descending from Rainbow Mountain we return to Cusipata where travellers enjoy a buffet lunch before heading back to Cusco.
