We will stroll through the heart of Reggio Emilia, following the traces left by the trades, workshops and activities that have enlivened the city's everyday life for centuries.

Through the toponymy, architectural details, works of art and evidence preserved in the streets of the city centre, we will reconstruct a hardworking and lively Reggio, made up of artisans, merchants and workers.

We will discover where watchmakers, shoemakers, charcoal burners, weavers and tanners worked, what their customs were, and how the various professions were concentrated in certain streets and areas, often even leaving their mark in the names of the streets.

A tour of the Reggio Emilia that has now disappeared, to rediscover the city's more everyday face and the stories of the men and women who, through their work, have built its economic and social identity over the centuries.
