What you can expect
Visit Lobos Island is a “must be” during your Fuerteventura (Canary Island) holidays, come to know with us this Natural Park with our boat service to the island of Lobos. Just 15 minutes away from Corralejo, marvel at the shades of blue of the sea until you disembark in this hidden corner in the Atlantic.
Right after the ship arrives, the statue of the Spanish writer, poet and essayist who was born on the island will welcome you: Josefina Plá and on her left the Visitor Centre, where you will have access to more information about the island and public bathroom services. On the other hand if you look to the left from the point where our boat will leave you, find a path that will take you to the best known beach on the islet, where you can bathe in its calm and crystalline waters or tan in the sun in its fine sand. Nudists and non-nudists coexist perfectly in this place popularly known by the name of “La Concha” due to its shape, although its real name is “La Caleta”, due to the lime kiln that is found there and that had great importance in the construction of the lighthouse “Martiño”. From here, you can see in the distance the Dunes of Corralejo and the outline of Fuerteventura; and if we turn our backs on the sea, we can observe the unique mountain of “La Caldera”.
Now take a breath, a bottle of water, and get ready to climb to the highest zone. The mountain “La Caldera” is a volcanic cone of relatively recent origin. From its 127 metres high, you will be fascinated by its beautiful views of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. It is a place where time seems to stop, silence “is heard”, the colour blue takes on a new meaning and light envelops everything. Lighthouse “Martiño If you are one of those who enjoy hiking, do not hesitate to head towards the northern part of the islet, where the lighthouse “Martiño” is located.
