Ride with Mexican Charros – A Day of Horses, Tradition, and Authentic Flavours
Your adventure begins in the heart of Mexico City, at Casa Bruna, a cosy coffee shop in the leafy area of La Condesa. Enjoy a cup of freshly brewed Mexican coffee as you meet your hosts and fellow travellers. From here, we’ll head out of the city towards a peaceful rural town surrounded by mountains and open skies.
When you arrive, you’ll be welcomed by Luis and his uncle Aurelio — two real Mexican charros (like professional cowboys), expert horsemen whose lives revolve around their horses, the land, and community. After a warm greeting, you’ll meet your horse and learn the basics of charro riding: how to hold the reins, adjust your saddle, and connect with your horse before heading out on the trail.
Unlike traditional tours, this is not a guided excursion. There are no scripted speeches, no rehearsed explanations — just you, your horse, and your new charro friends. The experience unfolds naturally, as if you were spending a real day in the countryside with locals. You’ll be guided only by the rhythm of your horse and the cowboys who ride alongside you.

Your journey begins by riding through the town — crossing cobblestone streets and narrow alleys where you might stop to buy fresh fruit or handmade tortillas from local vendors. Soon, the streets fade into open countryside. You’ll follow scenic trails that wind through hills, cross a small river hidden in the forest, and open into wide plains with mountain views that few travellers ever see.
Our team will be with you the entire time — ensuring your safety and capturing your best moments in photos. This is not just a horseback ride; it’s a living experience of Mexican tradition, where the charros share with you their passion, their lifestyle, and their pride.
After a few hours of riding, we’ll stop at a rustic mountain cabin for a traditional Mexican breakfast — fresh tacos made right there, with handmade tortillas and local ingredients.
We’ll finish the day with an easy, joyful ride back home — the horses relaxed, the sun beginning to set, and your heart full of connection and peace.
