If you want to get to know Barra da Tijuca beyond the usual sights and explore places that few tourists, and even Rio locals, know about, this Bike n' Boat Tour is for you!
We offer an authentic bike tour through the Pantanal Carioca, taking you past islands, alleys, streets, beaches, natural landscapes, hidden corners, and charming spots in the area, always from a local's perspective. A light, fun, and sustainable way to discover one of the most interesting areas in Rio de Janeiro.
What will we do?
We will meet at a pre-arranged location, where you will receive your bike and the necessary equipment. From there, we will begin our tour by cycling through different areas of Barra da Tijuca, exploring its hidden gems, stunning landscapes, and little-visited spots.
Along the way, we will make strategic stops for photos, explanations about the area, and breaks. You'll discover quieter beaches, protected natural areas, and special spots that reveal a different side of Barra.
For a short section of the route, we will use a boat, making the experience even more special and varied.
Depending on weather conditions and subject to prior arrangement, it is possible to combine the tour with a hang gliding flight, making the experience even more complete.
About the tour
Overall, the route does not feature steep climbs or descents and can be completed by anyone with a reasonable level of cycling proficiency. Some sections have potholes or uneven terrain, but nothing that would prevent beginner or intermediate cyclists from completing the tour.
This tour is ideal for those who want to explore the city in an active way, at a leisurely pace, enjoying each stop and each discovery.
Instructions:
We recommend wearing light, comfortable clothing and closed-toe trainers, using sun cream, and bringing water. If you wish, bring cash or a card for purchases at optional stops.
Always follow your guide's instructions throughout the tour to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and fun experience.
