Overview

After picking up in Coimbra, we head towards Serra de Sicó where we will travel through rural villages that give us the opportunity to appreciate the fauna and flora where the countless olive trees, walnut trees, oaks, small vegetable gardens, sheep and goats stand out.

Arriving at the cheese capital DOP (Denomination of Protected Origin), in the village of Rabaçal, we have a coffee and buy the famous cheese typical of the region.

Then we will visit the complex of the Roman Ruins of Conímbriga. At the Monographic Museum of Conímbriga, we will discover a wide collection of mosaics, sculptures, coins and numerous domestic and agricultural utensils.
Outside where the excavations took place, we will visit the aristocratic houses, and all of public buildings.
We go back in time with over 2,000 years of history.

After the visits, we return to Coimbra, using some of the pilgrimage trails of the Portuguese Central Way of the Caminhos de Santiago.(St James Way)
