What you can expect

Start with pickup from your hotel and join a small-group tour with a professional guide. Travel to a local reindeer farm situated on the shores of a lake just outside of Rovaniemi.

Admire the tranquility of your surroundings and enjoy an opportunity to feed the native reindeer their favourite food, lichen. End your visit around the campfire as you learn more about reindeer husbandry from the expert herders.

Then, begin the canoeing activity as your guide teaches you the basic techniques for a relaxing activity on the lake. Learn how to use the paddles, how to steer your canoe, and general safety guidelines. Your guide will be on hand to provide assistance if required.
