What you can expect

  • See the Northern Lights or get 100% of your money back.
This is not a typical Northern Lights tour.

Most tours follow fixed routes and hope for clear skies.
    We don’t.

Each evening, our experienced local guides analyse:

    live cloud radar
    solar wind & aurora data
    real-time forecasts

Then we choose the best direction — and drive up to 200 km or more if needed to find clear skies and active Northern Lights.

We only operate when there is a real chance to see the aurora.

    How the guarantee works

If we do not capture the Northern Lights on camera during the tour,
    you receive a 100% money-back refund.

    No fine print. No risk.

    Real Northern Lights hunting

    No fixed routes
Up to 200 km mobility for clear skies
    Real-time weather & solar tracking
We actively avoid crowded mass-tourism locations

Once clear skies are found, we stay.
No unnecessary driving. No missed moments.

    Professional photography included

Your guide is also a Northern Lights photographer.

We position you for the best possible shots.
    Unlimited professional photos included.
Free digital photos delivered via email within 24–72 hours.

Local guides and languages on request

Book Lapland is a locally owned company based in Rovaniemi. Our tours are led by experienced, locally based guides who know Lapland’s winter conditions and the best strategies for finding the Northern Lights.

English is the guaranteed tour language. Depending on guide availability, we may also be able to arrange a guide who speaks Finnish, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Turkish or Japanese.

Please contact us as early as possible after booking with your preferred language. We will always do our best to arrange it, but additional languages are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.

    Comfort in extreme Arctic conditions

Northern Lights hunting can take you far into the wilderness in very cold conditions.
We make sure you stay warm, safe, and comfortable throughout the experience.

Arctic winter overalls and boots included, suitable for temperatures down to approximately −40°C
Heated vehicles suitable for long-distance travel
Warm drinks and cookies during the tour
Professional drivers experienced in winter conditions

    Maximum effort approach

We don’t follow fixed schedules or easy routes.

We do everything possible — distance, time, and strategy —
to give you the highest real chance of seeing the Northern Lights.
