What you can expect

  • Discover a hidden artist courtyard in Munich and step into a unique creative world that most visitors never find.

This experience takes you beyond the usual tourist attractions and into a small, unique museum tucked away in a quiet courtyard. Be personally welcomed by the artist's daughter (or by the artist herself, if you are lucky!) and guided into the space where you can explore original artwork, antiques, prints, postcards, gifts, and charming creations inspired by animals, nature, and everyday life.

The Royal Pet Museum is home to a unique collection of more than 300 pet and animal portraits created since 2001 by M. Pishvanova. Over more than two decades, this collection has grown into a fascinating artistic archive filled with stories, personalities, and memorable moments behind every portrait. Visitors have the opportunity to discover the collection, learn about its history, and gain insight into the creative process behind the artwork.

Unlike a traditional museum or guided tour, this is a relaxed and personal visit. Take your time, ask questions, learn about the artist’s work, and enjoy the atmosphere of a genuine artistic workspace.

The experience is suitable for solo travellers, couples, families, animal lovers, art lovers, and anyone looking for unusual things to do in Munich. It is especially perfect for visitors who enjoy discovering hidden gems, local culture, and unique creations by independent artists.
