Speleotherapy is a natural treatment that uses salt-rich underground air to improve respiratory health and boost immunity. On this 5-hour experience, you’ll descend 235 metres underground into Yerevan’s salt mine, where you’ll explore our 4,000-square-meter Speleotherapy Centre. You’ll visit the mine’s museum to learn how Soviet geologists uncovered Armenia’s vast salt reserves in 1967, see the salt mining process in massive 30-meter-high chambers, and then tour the therapeutic rooms designed to relieve asthma, allergies, and respiratory issues. As part of your wellness experience in the mine, you’ll participate in breathing exercises, try Scandinavian walking over salt floors, and unwind with billiards, table tennis, and tennis. Or, you can lay back in one of our private rest areas and let the salt in the air work its magic while you rest. The dry, odor-free environment requires visitors to avoid perfume or cologne, and no food is available underground.
