What you can expect

  • Drive through the Austrian countryside from Vienna to alluring Salzburg. This beautiful baroque city has long been synonymous with museums, music, and of course, Mozart. Enjoy a full-day tour of the UNESCO-listed centre and see all the major landmarks, including Mozart's actual birthplace.

On the way, enjoy a nice photo stop in Melk abbey and Mondsee. Drive past towering mountains and mirror-like lakes on your journey to Salzburg. Upon arrival, you have some free time to wander around and find a traditional café or a restaurant for lunch. Then head off on an afternoon stroll through the old city to view the magnificent cathedral, the Festival Hall, and the tomb of Mozart's sister at St. Peter's Abbey.

Audio guide experience available directly on customers own smartphone & headphones by QR code:
The audio guide is available in 20 guide languages: EN, DE, IT, FR, ZH, HR, CS, NL, EL, HI, JA, KO, HU, PL, PT, RO, RU, ES, SV, TR.

Listen to enganging content about Austria and the city of Salzburg in your own language and at your own pace!

Stroll down the Getreidegasse to visit the birthplace of Mozart before passing through the gardens of Mirabell Palace, famous as the filming location for “The Sound of Music” (the gardens are where Maria and the Von Trapp children sang “Do-Re-Mi”). From this vantage point, you can enjoy a breathtaking view over the imposing Hohensalzburg Fortress, one of Europe’s largest castles.

Do not forget to carry a passport with you on this tour.
