Early Morning Departure from Delhi:
The tour begins with an early morning train journey from New Delhi to Haridwar. The Shatabdi Express or a similar train is usually chosen for its comfort and speed. You will enjoy breakfast on board as the train takes you through picturesque landscapes.
Arrival in Haridwar:
Har Ki Pauri: After reaching Haridwar, your first stop is the famous Har Ki Pauri Ghat, where pilgrims gather to take a holy dip in the Ganges. This ghat is considered one of the holiest spots in Hinduism.
Mansa Devi Temple (optional): You may visit the Mansa Devi Temple, which is located on a hilltop and can be reached by a short cable car ride, offering panoramic views of Haridwar.
Local Exploration: Stroll through the bustling lanes of Haridwar, known for their religious fervor, temples, and local markets.
Transfer to Rishikesh:
After exploring Haridwar, you will drive to Rishikesh (approximately 30 km away). Known as the “Yoga Capital of the World,” Rishikesh is famous for its ashrams, temples, and the serene banks of the Ganges.
Exploration in Rishikesh:
Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula: Visit the iconic suspension bridges over the Ganges, Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula. These are popular tourist spots that offer stunning views of the river and surrounding temples.
Parmarth Niketan Ashram: One of the largest ashrams in Rishikesh, known for its beautiful setting on the banks of the Ganges. You can explore the ashram and experience the spiritual atmosphere.
Triveni Ghat: A sacred ghat where devotees gather for the evening Ganga Aarti, a mesmerising experience with chants, lamps, and hymns offered to the Ganges.
Beatles Ashram (optional): If time permits, you can visit the ashram where the Beatles stayed in the late 1960s, now a peaceful ruin adorned with graffiti and artwork.
Lunch:
A vegetarian lunch is typically arranged at a local restaurant in Rishikesh, offering delicious North Indian or regional cuisine.
Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan (optional):
If your tour timing allows, you can participate in the evening Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan, a spiritual and awe-inspiring ceremony that attracts devotees and tourists alike.
Return Journey to Delhi:
After a full day of sightseeing and spiritual experiences, you'll be transferred back to Haridwar to board your train for the return journey to Delhi. Dinner is typically provided onboard the train.
Late Evening Arrival in Delhi:
You will arrive back in Delhi late in the evening, completing your day tour.
