Enjoy a relaxing and unforgettable experience on Kerala’s serene backwaters with a full-day Alleppey houseboat cruise tour, perfect for couples, families, and leisure travellers. This tour offers a peaceful escape into nature while enjoying authentic Kerala hospitality and cuisine.
The tour begins around 12:00 PM with boarding at the Alleppey houseboat jetty. After a traditional welcome, the houseboat gently cruises through the picturesque Vembanad Lake, narrow canals, and lush coconut-lined waterways. As you glide along the backwaters, witness the simple village life of Kerala—local fishermen at work, paddy fields, toddy tapping, temples, churches, and colourful homes along the banks.
The houseboat is well-equipped with comfortable seating areas, clean washrooms, and open decks for sightseeing and photography. Around 1:00–2:00 PM, a freshly prepared traditional Kerala lunch is served onboard. The meal typically includes rice, vegetables, curries, chapati, papad, pickle, and fish or chicken (vegetarian meals are also available on request). All food is cooked fresh by the onboard staff using local ingredients.
After lunch, the cruise continues at a leisurely pace, allowing you to relax, enjoy the cool backwater breeze, and soak in the natural beauty. The houseboat usually anchors for a short rest in the afternoon, following Kerala backwater regulations, before resuming the cruise.
By around 5:00 PM, the cruise concludes, leaving you with beautiful memories of Kerala’s backwaters and a truly unique houseboat experience.
