What you can expect

Tourists will begin their day by boarding a tour bus that will take them to some of the most iconic places on the island. At each stop, they will have time to explore, take pictures and learn about the history and culture of San Andres. After each visit, they will return to the bus to continue on to the next attraction.

“En First Baptist Church,” Located on a hilltop in La Loma, this church is the oldest on the island, built in 1847. Visitors enter this historic wooden temple and can climb the tower to enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of San Andres. During the visit, a local guide tells the history of the place, its importance for the Raizal community and the influence of religion on the island.

“West View”, is a perfect place to enjoy the Caribbean Sea at its best. This site does not have sandy beaches, but a cliff with stairs and trampolines from where tourists can jump into the crystal clear water. There are also colourful fish that can be seen by snorkelling. Visitors can take advantage of the time to take a dip, take pictures on the iconic diving board and relax in the solarium.

“The Islander Museum,” offers an intimate look at the history and culture of the islanders. Upon arrival, tourists are greeted by tour guides dressed in traditional attire who explain what life was like on the island more than a century ago. They tour different rooms with antique objects, original furniture and tools used by the islanders in the past. The history of the local music and gastronomy is also told.

“El Museo Naval de San Andres”, allows visitors to learn about the maritime history of the island, including the influence of pirates, privateers and the strategic importance of the archipelago. Visitors walk through exhibits with old maps, ship models and stories about naval battles. There are also references to Colombian history and the relationship with other Caribbean nations.

“El Hoyo Soplador” (The Blowing Hole), is a natural phenomenon that surprises visitors. It is a hole in the rocks through which the sea, hitting hard from below, expels a jet of water and air with great pressure. Tourists enjoy the breeze, have fun watching how the water splashes them and can visit the small souvenir stalls that surround the place. After about 30 minutes exploring and enjoying the natural spectacle, it is time to return to the bus to go back to the starting point of the tour.

This itinerary allows tourists to experience the history, nature and fun of San Andres in a single day, ensuring a rich and varied experience at each stop. ️
