What you can expect

  • Discover the spectacular nature and wildlife that surrounds Santa Margarita on a guided off-road tour. Travel by an open-air Kawasaki Mule off-road vehicle around the ranch town and into the Santa Lucia mountains. Learn about the bears, eagles and mountain lions that inhabit the region from the ranch naturalist.
    Starting in the town of Santa Margarita the tour will explore historic terrain that has been inhabited for thousands of years. Initially home to Native Americans from the Chumash and Salinan Nations, it was later settled by Franciscan missionaries and played host to itinerant outlaws.
    As you drive along the trails behind the ranch and approach the Santa Lucia mountains, your guide will discuss native ecosystems, plants and local wildlife, opening your eyes to one of the Central California Coast’s hidden gems.
