What you can expect

  • Travellers experience a cosy and mystic atmosphere when visiting the religious sites. The Metropolitan Cathedral and the mausoleum of San Oscar Romero are iconic landmarks of the capital city. In the same way, Iglesia El Rosario (Rosary Church) is a place where people discover a spot that is, at the same time, a religious temple and a modern art temple.
When tourists stroll around Libertad, Gerardo Barrios and Morazán squares they get familiar with relevant events along Salvadoran history and come into contact with popular culture. The architectural style of the National Palace and the National Theatre reveal the aesthetics trends of early twentieth century.
The walking tour also includes the newest attraction in town, the National Library. This building, just inaugurated in 2023, is an impressive structure due to its modernist style.
