Your Itinerary:
Departure from the coast: We begin our journey at 8:45 AM, picking you up at your accommodation in Santa Marta, Taganga, or El Rodadero. After a journey of approximately 50 minutes, the air becomes cooler as we ascend into the mountains.
Coffee Immersion at Finca La Victoria: Our first major stop is the historic Finca La Victoria. Here, time seems to stand still. You will learn about the organic coffee process using machinery that dates back to the Industrial Age, powered by the force of water. You will walk among the coffee plants in their natural environment and, of course, delight your senses with a tasting of one of the best organic coffees in the region.
Local Flavours and Relaxation: We will return to the town of Minca to enjoy a traditional lunch prepared with local ingredients that support the Sierra Nevada community.
Refreshment at the Marinka Waterfalls: After refuelling, we will be driven to the entrance of the famous Marinka Waterfalls. We will take a gentle 10-minute hike through the shade of the jungle until we reach the waterfalls. Here, you will have plenty of time for a refreshing swim in the natural pools, surrounded by a soundscape dominated by nature.
Return: At 3:30 pm, we will begin our descent back to Santa Marta, arriving at your accommodation with the satisfaction of having experienced a day of genuine connection with the mountains.
This tour is designed based on principles of environmental respect, aiming to ensure that your visit leaves a positive impact on the ecosystem and supports the local economy of the coffee growers in the Sierra Nevada.
