Enjoy a special encounter with the vibrant culture of the indigenous communities of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. Your guided tour will be conducted in Spanish. The meeting point is the restaurant at the Eco-Hotel Taironaka (Don Diego River). Optionally, you can arrive by boat (at an additional charge) and enjoy the impressive natural surroundings along the way. You will be welcomed with a traditional drink before your indigenous guide personally kicks off the approximately 1-hour tour.
Together, you will explore the historic terraces and learn more about their spiritual and cultural significance. Next, you will visit the antiques exhibition, where the history of the region and its indigenous peoples will be brought to life for you. The special finale is a meeting with other members of the community – an authentic encounter that will give you an in-depth insight into their culture.
