    Instead of simply watching a demonstration, you make your own egg coffee and salt coffee, then create traditional-inspired beeswax patterns with your own hands. Hosted in a local home in Ta Van Village, the workshop offers a slower, more personal way to connect with Sapa — through tasting, creating, and sharing stories with local people.

Meet your local host at Giay's Local House in Ta Van Village and begin with a hands-on Vietnamese coffee experience. First, learn how to prepare two local favourites: creamy egg coffee and savoury salt coffee. Follow the simple steps, make your own drinks, and enjoy them fresh. Then discover the traditional Hmong beeswax-resist technique used to create patterns on fabric. Learn how beeswax is applied by hand before the fabric is dyed with natural indigo. Finally, create your own beeswax design with guidance from your local host. Take your time, experiment with the patterns, and enjoy a relaxed creative experience surrounded by the atmosphere of Ta Van Village. You will spend around three hours tasting, creating, and learning about local traditions through direct hands-on activities.
