What you can expect

  • The wine taste experience starts in Saranda.
    A short drive (20–25 min) will take us to one of the oldest local canteens, which produces wine, cognac, and raki (the traditional Albanian alcoholic drink).

    A tour of the canteen to learn more about how wine and raki are made will be guided by a staff member before we taste the different types of wine (red, white, and rosé), cognac, and raki (walnut, fruit, traditional, and oregano raki).
    To make the tasting more delicious, local products will be offered (seasonal jams, pickles, cheese, olive oil, tomatoes, etc.).
    Traditional Albanian music will be in the background, you can learn how to dance.

    After tasting we will be back in Saranda.
