Please try to park in the white-striped stalls only. Do not park in the yellow stalls, as they are reserved for marina tenants. If you arrive at the park, you've gone too far—please turn around and head back toward the boat racks and restrooms. Feel free to contact Captain Kyle for assistance at 206-915-7959. You’ll be meeting us at Gate C, and our boat is located at Slip C60. The dock gate is near the boat racks and restrooms on the south end of the marina. Once parked, please call or text Captain Kyle—he will meet you to unlock the gate and let you onto the dock.

What you can expect

Our services cater to people who want to enjoy fishing but don't have the necessary skills or equipment, including access to a boat or knowledge of fishing locations. You will be able to enjoy great views of the Puget Sound at each fishing location. Captain Kyle provides on-site tutorials that teach clientele a unique Japanese American-influenced style of fishing, called “Mooching”. The tutorial is suitable for all levels of fishers. Most salmon fishers and charters use a different technique that uses a downrigger, which isn't engaging and can't feel the fish bite like “mooching”.

The Catch

Mooching for salmon offers a more interactive experience, allowing customers to feel the excitement of actively hooking a fish. This technique involves casting out a line with a herring hooked to a leader and attached to a sinker. As the herring sinks and spins through the water, its movement mimics natural prey, drawing in the salmon and enticing them to bite.

Everyone in the party will board the boat and prepare everyone to cruise out into the Puget Sound.

Once Captain Kyle has reached the first destination, he will do a brief tutorial on how to fish and he will provide services during each cast and catch (ie. putting bait on, untangling lines, changing hooks, and other services to improve chances to catch a fish). He will also offer assistance throughout the day with tips and tricks for hooking up a fish. Captain Kyle will decide strategically to move to a different spot depending on the time, tide, and number of fish caught.

What to bring:
• Warm Clothes – This would include double layers and thermals. Cruising and sitting on the water will be a lot colder than on land.
• Rain Jacket
• Sunglasses
• We recommend closed toe shoes because of exposure to fishing hooks.
• Snacks and Drinks
• Sun cream
• Optimism

What We Provide:
• All fishing gear. We will be using G-Loomis rods, Shimano reels, Gamakatsu fishing hooks. Considered top of the line gear.
• Bottled Water and snacks
• Life Jackets. Please let us know if there are any children who need small life jackets.
• Rain gear upon request prior to departure
