Activity itinerary

Musis & Stads Theater
  • 15m
Since 1847 the concert halls of Musis Sacrum and its surroundings had taken on a range of different forms and positions in the park that reflected the short time needs of its operators, city officials, and residents. The project consists of a renovation of the existing monument and a new extension with a long-term planning in mind. The extension features a large concert hall and supportive functions.
Waalse kerk
  • 15m
St Agnes Convent was a religious house of the Sisters of the Common Life in the city of Arnhem, in the Duchy of Guelders, in the 15th and 16th centuries. At some point in the 15th century the community adopted the Third Rule of St Francis, later shifting to the Rule of St Augustine.
Het Duivelshuis of Maarten van Rossumhuis uit 1518
  • 15m
The Duivelshuis (devils house) is one of the most beautiful and important monuments of Arnhem. Its origins lie as far back as the 15th century, when a city farm stood here.
Sabelspoort
  • 15m
The Sabelspoort (also known as Eusebiuspoort) is a city gate in Arnhem. The gate was first mentioned in 1357. Arnhem once had four city gates. The Sabelspoort was part of a fortress surrounded by a high wall with loopholes for shooting. Later, the gate was also used to imprison prisoners and the insane, earning it the nickname 'Geckenpoort' (Fools' Gate).
Audrey Hepburnplein
  • 15m
The Audrey Hepburnplein, formerly known as Kerkplein, is a square in the centre of Arnhem and is named after one of the most famous film actresses of the twentieth century. The square is home to the monument 'Mens tegen macht' (Man Against Power), where the annual remembrance of the dead takes place. The square belongs to the oldest parts of the city.
Eusebiuskerk
  • 15m
St. Eusebius church also known as the Eusebiuskerk or the Grote Kerk, at 93 metres is the largest church, and the largest building in Arnhem, The Netherlands. Notably the building contains an lift that was added to the church in 1994, which allows visitors to travel to the top of the spire and view the city of Arnhem from its highest point. More intriguing perhaps, visitors can also enter the crypt at the rear of the church which contains a number of full skeletons lying in state, in the darkness of the church's crypt.
Koepelkerk
  • 15m
In 1817, the St. Jan, a severely dilapidated church, was demolished at that location. The Dutch Reformed Congregation was granted permission to build a new church to relieve the Sint-Eusebiuskerk. The Koepelkerk was initially referred to as the 'Nieuwe Kerk' (New Church).
voormalig postkantoor Arnhem
  • 15m
The building at Jansplein 56 in Arnhem is among the five most important post offices designed by the Chief Government Architect C.H. Peters. Following the advice of Bessels architects & engineers, it has been restored to its former glory and transformed into a bookshop with a hospitality function. This comprehensive project took about four years to complete.
