Join a guided ski touring (randonnée) adventure in the dramatic coastal mountains of Senja, one of Northern Norway’s most spectacular ski touring destinations.
This is a flexible, conditions-based ski tour led by a local guide with deep knowledge of the area. The goal is simple: find the best possible skiing on the day, based on snow quality, weather, avalanche conditions, and the group’s experience level.
After meeting your guide, the day starts with a safety briefing and route planning. From there, head into the mountains for a classic ski touring ascent, typically gaining 600–800 vertical metres. The terrain ranges from open alpine slopes to stunning ridgelines with panoramic views of fjords, ocean, and sharp peaks rising straight from the sea.
At the top, take a break to enjoy the views, snap photos, and prepare for the descent. The ski down is carefully chosen to match the group’s skills and provide the best possible skiing experience. If time, conditions, and energy allow, add a second shorter tour or extra laps to make the most of the day.
This experience is suitable for intermediate to experienced ski tourers who are comfortable with uphill travel and off-piste skiing. Each tour is unique, shaped by the conditions and the group – no fixed routes, just great skiing in wild and beautiful surroundings.
