Discover a sensory experience within the Culcasi Salt Pans, where the tradition of salt production meets direct contact with the natural elements of the salt pans.
The activity lasts approximately 60 minutes and takes place in a dedicated area of the salt pans. Upon arrival, participants check in at the welcome kiosk near the Salt Museum, where a staff member briefly introduces the itinerary and explains the natural elements present: mother water, Mamma Caura, and salt crystals.
After this short introduction, participants continue the experience on their own. Each participant can experience the itinerary at their own pace, moving between the different stages and following the instructions provided.
During the tour, participants can:
- Walk barefoot on the salt crystals, coming into direct contact with one of the most characteristic elements of the salt pans;
- Independently come into contact with mamma caura, the natural sediment of the salt pans;
- Enter the mother water pools, which contain water with a high salt concentration resulting from the natural salt cycle;
- Enjoy a recreational and nature-focused experience surrounded by the salt pan landscape.
The water in the pools is shallow, about 8 inches deep. However, it is recommended that participants move around with caution, as the activity takes place in a natural environment.
At the end of the experience, a seawater rinse shower is available. The use of soaps, shampoos, body wash, oils, or cleansers is not permitted during the experience or during the final rinse.
This activity is offered as a tourist, recreational, and nature-focused experience within the salt pans. It does not constitute a medical, therapeutic, aesthetic, cosmetic, or spa treatment.
