Overview

This experience takes place inside a real salt pan still active, where sea salt is produced according to an ancient tradition and deeply linked to the territory.

The route allows you to come into direct contact with some of the most characteristic elements of the salt pan: mother water, mamma caura and salt crystals. After a brief initial introduction by the staff, each participant lives the experience independently, according to their own schedule.

Activity itinerary

Discover the Culcasi Salt Pans in an authentic way with a sensory experience between mother water, mamma caura and salt crystals. Upon arrival at the reception point, participants will check in and receive a brief introduction from the staff. The natural elements of the salt pan and the correct ways to experience the route will be presented. The experience takes place in a dedicated area inside the salt pans and continues independently: each participant can live the different phases according to their own pace, following the instructions received. Along the way it will be possible to walk barefoot on salt crystals, enter the mother water tanks with shallow water about 20 cm and come into contact, independently, with the mamma caura, the natural sediment of the salt pan. A recreational, natural and sensory activity designed to experience the salt pans in a direct, simple and authentic way. The experience is not a health, therapeutic, aesthetic, cosmetic or spa treatment.
