What you can expect

Discover the city of Shamakhi on a guided tour from Baku. Visit the Diri Baba Mausoleum, the Juma Mosque, and the Alpaca Farm. Enjoy a wine tasting at the Meysari Winery and a delicious lunch at the Abqora Restaurant.

Start your day with a pickup from your hotel in Baku. Meet your guide and head to Shamakhi. Learn about the city's history as you drive.

Stop at the Diri Baba Mausoleum, a Sufi Dervish mausoleum located across from an old cemetery. Hear about the legend of the imperishable Saint Diri-Baba who was buried here.

Next, visit the Juma Mosque, the oldest and largest mosque in Azerbaijan. Admire the mosque's architecture and learn about its history.

Continue to the Alpaca Farm, located in the Shamakhi district close to the Meyseri vineyards. Learn about the farm and its alpacas. Visit the souvenir shop and pick up some handmade dolls, stationery, or bags of fertiliser.

Next, head to the Abqora Restaurant. Enjoy a delicious lunch and taste some of the best Azerbaijani and European cuisine.

After lunch, visit the Meysari Winery. Learn about the winery's organic farming methods and taste some of their red, white, or rosé Shirvan Wines. Stroll through the vineyard and learn about the wine production process.

At the end of the tour, relax on the drive back to Baku.
