It served as the financial centre of old Shanghai and was the hub for foreign trade institutions. You can also buy a variety of interesting souvenirs and specialities from Fuyou commodity market(really cheap with good quiatly). You can also explore the nearby City God Temple, which is a Taoist temple dedicated to the city god of Shanghai. Inside, you can see different halls for specific gods, bell tower, drum tower, etc.
The Bund

After dinner, head back to the Bund to see the buildings lit up at night. It's a completely different experience from the morning. Enjoy the ligthing show and take a promonade here for Shanghai flavour.
