  • ALL Participants will need to obtain special documents to drive in Japan. • For most countries, an International Driving Permit (IDP) issued in the booklet format compliant to the 1949 Geneva Convention is required. Valid IDP's can only be issued by the same country that issued your domestic licence and CANNOT be obtained online while travelling. • FOR Switzerland, Germany, France, Taiwan, Belgium, or Monaco you will need to obtain a Japanese translation of their licence from the Japan Car Federation (JAF), NOT an International Driving Permit.
  • Drivers' licences issued by countries NOT covered by the 1949 Geneva Convention (such as China, Indonesia, Mexico, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, etc.) are not permitted to drive in Japan
  • Participants must carry their physical International Driving Permit (or for exceptional countries listed above that requires a Japanese translation: the physical domestic licence + official translation) and physical passport.
  • NO Domestic Licence alone is accepted as a legal document to drive in Japan.
  • Street Kart will message you within 24 hrs when confirming booking with information on EXACT documents you need.
  • Minimum age is 18 years
  • Wear flat closed footwear. Do not wear no long flowy skirts or dress.
  • You MUST inform us if you have any level of hearing impairment or mobility impairment.
  • In accordance with EU regulations about consumer rights, activities services are not subject to the right of withdrawal. Supplier cancellation policy will apply.
