What you can expect

Drive along the coastal avenue connecting the Estoril bay to Cascais. Stop in Cascais, a fishing village that historically became the refuge of aristocrats and artists. Head along the coast and take in the views of wild beaches and cliffs until you arrive at the westernmost point of Europe, Cabo da Roca. Here the landscape becomes a blend of sea and mountain views.

Travel through the mountain until you reach the historical centre of Sintra, part of Unesco’s Cultural Heritage. Discover how this town was one of the first centers of European Romantic architecture, where the royal family lived and English aristocrats sought shelter during the French Invasions.

Learn about the unique heritage of the town which was built in harmony with the natural landscape. Stop at the enigmatic, mystical Quinta da Regaleira, the unusual Pena Palace and the magnificent Mozarabic National Palace with 1000 years of history. Sample regional food at Refúgio da Roca.
