What you can expect

Explore wild experiences in the green Canyons of southern Brazil. Enjoy pure contact with an amazing rainforest of Aparados da Serra National Park.

Trilha do Rio do Boi is located in Praia Grande Santa Catarina inside the Itaimbezinho Canyon , in the Aparados da Serra National Park, with approximately 7 km long (14 km return).

Held in the middle of the canyon where we will walk between walls of up to 700 mts high .

The walk goes partly through the woods and partly along the riverbed between the stones, making river crossings along the way.
“During the crossings, depending on the volume of water in the river, the water level can exceed the knee. On days of flooding or when there is a high volume of rain, the trail can be cancelled, as it can become dangerous, since being inside a canyon, the water can rise quickly and the current can be strong.

Considered Medium/High of difficulty due to the fact that the walk is made between the stones and the various crossings of the river, which also has its bed full of stones of different sizes, thus requiring a good physical condition of the visitor.

The walking time varies depending on the pace of each group, but it takes an average of 7 hours (including stops)”

Approximate duration 7 hours on average in the visitation

*The participation of children under 12 years of age, pregnant women, heart patients, people with back or knee problems or with motor difficulties is prohibited.
