Overview

The Sun Set is always a fun thing to do, especially when we are travelling. It’s not that the Sun looks prettier but because of the places and environments surrounding where we watch the Sun Set.

You’ll be picked up from your hotel by Tour Guide and take a short drive to Angkor temple area. Then, we’ll visit the four-faced Bayon temple, the Terrace of Elephant and Leper King before catching the beautiful Sun Set at Angkor Wat. The Tour guide will share with you all history and culture.

Next up, we’ll move to the Town’s best street food destination. Meet the local chefs and Street Food culinary creators. Your local guide will explain to you about Cambodian cuisines. You'll taste authentic Khmer traditional food snacks such as rice cakes, roasted flogs, fried crickets and fried grasshoppers, and many kinds of roasted Tonle Sap freshwater fish.

Activity itinerary

Angkor Thom South Gate

  • 15m
The South Gate is one of the five gates of Angkor Thom (the Ancient Capital City of the Khmer Empire). The gate flanked by a row of 54 stone figures on each side was the entrance to the fortified city of Angkor Thom. At the height of its greatness, Angkor Thom had a population of more than one million people and was larger in size than the city of London. It is one of the most popular tourist spots in the Angkor Wat area.

Bayon Temple

  • 40m
The Bayon is a richly decorated Khmer temple at Angkor in Cambodia. Built in the 13th century as the state temple of King Jayavarman VII, the Bayon stands at the centre of Jayavarman's capital. The Bayon's most distinctive feature is the multitude of serene and smiling stone faces on the many towers which jut out from the upper terrace and cluster around its central peak. You'll see its beautifully crafted central towers, covered in more than 200 enormous faces. The temple has two sets of bas-reliefs, which present a combination of mythological, historical and mundane scenes. The outer wall of the outer gallery features a series of bas-reliefs depicting historical events and scenes from the everyday life of the Angkorian Khmer. The inner gallery bas-reliefs depict mythological events.

Angkor Wat

  • 2h
  • Admission ticket not included
Angkor Wat is the largest religious monument in the world. It was built in the 12th century. As the best-preserved temple, it is the only one to have remained a significant religious centre since its foundation. The temple is at the top of the high classical style of Khmer architecture. It has become a symbol of Cambodia. Angkor Wat is the best place to watch the Sun Set. The sun set is always a fun thing to do, especially when we are travelling. It is not that the Sun looks prettier but because of the places and environments surrounding it. Listen to the explanations of your expert guide, then spend time venturing into the central chambers of the temple, where your local guide will reveal the history, myths and stories depicted on the stone bas-reliefs (the longest bas-reliefs in the world). Your knowledgeable guide will ensure that your visit to Angkor Wat leaves you with a rich understanding of the history and purpose of the great temple, and also of the mighty khmer civilisation.

Ta Prohm Temple

  • 45m
The jungle-enveloped Ta Prohm (Tomb raider temple)– is one of the most atmospheric of all temples in Angkor. Ta Prohm was built in the 13th century. Unlike most Angkorian temples, Ta Prohm is in much the same condition in which it was found, the photogenic and atmospheric combination of trees growing out of the ruins and the jungle surroundings have made it one of Angkor's most popular temples with visitors. UNESCO inscribed Ta Prohm on the World Heritage List in 1992. Today, it is one of the most visited complexes in Cambodia’s Angkor region. Ta Prohm was a religious temple located in the centre of the Ancient Khmer University during the 12th and 13th centuries.

Pub Street

  • 20m
We taste some local fresh fruit juice or beer before having the local food at a local restaurant. After dinner, you have options to return to your hotel or end our street food at Pup Street. Where you can explore there by yourself, our guide can give you a good recommendation about Bar or Café to enjoy your night out.

Wat Preah Prom Rath

  • 30m
Spend time at Prom Rath Pagoda, the historical Buddhist temple complex with colourful pagodas on sizable grounds with gardens. It is the oldest Buddhist monastery in the Town. Here, your guide will teach you a little about the dominant religion in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
